Your next chapter
What to bring to a discovery conversation.
You do not need a finished plan. A few thoughts about your home, your timing, and your questions are enough to begin.

Start with what is changing.
A possible home sale often sits inside a bigger life transition. You might be considering a smaller space, helping someone close to you, or wondering how a move could fit around an already full schedule. The first conversation is a place to explain that context in your own words.
You do not need to arrive with a room-by-room project list. It is useful to say what feels clear, what feels uncertain, and what prompted you to reach out.
Bring a sketch of your timing.
Separate dates that are fixed from dates that are preferences. If your timing is still open, that is useful information too. A starting conversation can help identify the questions that need answers before a more detailed plan makes sense.
- Are there family, work, or moving dates that matter?
- Will someone be living in the home during preparation?
- Who should be included in planning conversations?
- What would make the process feel easier to manage?
Describe the help you are considering.
Some people want to talk through a few preparation questions. Others are trying to understand how several tasks and service providers could fit together. Share the areas where you would value support, such as sorting belongings, discussing presentation, or organizing the sequence of agreed work.
If you have notes or everyday photographs that help explain a space, keep them handy. There is no need to prepare a polished presentation or tidy the whole home before asking how to begin.
Leave with the next questions.
A useful first conversation does not have to settle every detail. It can clarify who needs to be involved, which information would help, and what should be discussed next. Services, responsibilities, costs, and timing need their own clear agreement.
Sending a discovery request starts that conversation. It does not reserve a calendar appointment automatically. Include how you prefer to be reached and a little about your availability so the team can discuss a suitable next step with you.
